Life at QSDS
QSDS offers convenient housing right on the Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) Housing for QSDS students will be in the Schottenstein Residence Hall, next to the Crane Center For Design, where most of the QSDS classes are held. The beautiful CCAD gardens are right in front of the dorm, with seating scattered about in quiet spaces.
Dorm suites have two private one-person bedrooms, one shared bathroom and a shared common space. Each private bedroom has one low bed and one high bed (high bed can be used for storage), 2 dressers, wardrobe, wastebasket, workspace/desk running along the windows, and 2 stools.
The shared bathroom has a toilet, shower, shelves, mirror, sink and wastebasket. Please note that the shower is large, but does not have a soap/toiletries shelf. Consider bringing a shower caddy.
The shared common space “kitchenette” (no fridge or sink) has a counter, shelves, table and two chairs and wastebasket.
The suites offer free wifi, free local phone service and free basic cable. (TVs are not provided in the bedrooms.) There is an open-lounge community space on each floor near the elevator These areas are great places for relaxing and socializing. There are comfy couches, end tables, a full-sized refrigerator and microwave.
Schottenstein has a laundry facility where you can wash clothes for free and a workout room open 24 hours a day.
Housing for a five day class is $480 (6 nights) Those only taking a weekend class, have the option of staying 1 night ($80), 2 nights ($160) or 3 nights ($240).
Campus Dining
"The Market" is CCAD's main dining facility. It is located on the ground floor of the DSA building. All meals are all-you-care-to-eat and they have a large selection to satisfy most dietary needs: salad bar, grill, hot dishes, etc. You may purchase each meal separately at the door, or you can buy a discounted rate meal card that covers 10 meals.

Additional Dining
The Hills Market – Downtown is adjacent to campus, across the street from the dining hall. They offer a full array of food choices, produce, pre-made specialty foods, a coffee shop and bakery. There are also several restaurants near the CCAD campus if you wish to dine out. Other grocery stores near QSDS include a Kroger about two miles southwest, and a Giant Eagle about two miles directly south.
